Sal West (she/her) is an illustrator from Columbus, OH. She is inspired by folk art, theatre set design, historical costuming, and fantasy. Sal creates art to be enjoyed by grown-ups and children alike.

She earned a B.A. in communication design and has a background in early childhood education and children’s public library programming, which informs her whimsical work.

When not working, Sal loves to read, write, spend time in nature, play games, and patronize the performing arts.
